  2. Then give you 5 practical tips to Awaken Your Creativity Daily. Start today.

Look, let’s get real. As always, around here. It’s wise to research the standing of any author before you plunge into any article or book. Many of you readers are already familiar with my body of work. If not, scroll down to the section below about Rosetree’s Standing to Write on Creativity. Then come on back, because the rest of this article awaits you.

Awaken Your Creativity #1.

It’s Tied to Your Unique Soul Expression

Even if you believe in reincarnation, it’s wise to acknowledge: You only live once. As the unique soul expression you are for this lifetime, that is.

You see, it’s not just that you look different in every single incarnation. Come from a different family. Live at a unique time in ever-changing human history.

In this lifetime, like every opportunity you’ve ever had for a human lifetime here at Earth School, you’re unique. That means your creativity will be expressed uniquely, too.

Awaken Your Creativity Daily and you’ll likely accomplish more in life.

Awaken Your Creativity #2.

What Is Your Creativity, Anyway?

Awaken your creativity and you’ll make your soul happy.

Creativity is a flow that begins within you, then flows out toward other people. Your creativity even helps to shape Collective Consciousness, which is an abstract-but-real way that all of us humans are connected.

Like just about everything here on Earth, your creativity is both subjective and objective. No kidding. Here’s what I mean.

Subjectively

Your creativity begins as an inner flow of ideas and inspiration. Involved is a special kind of excitement, even if nobody has taught you what to call that feeling. (Or even to notice it in the first place.)

When you use creativity on a daily basis, which I aim to help you to do, that feeling can become one of your favorite ways to feel alive.

Personally, I’d say: Orgasms are nice. But creativity is better.

Objectively

In objective reality! Creativity doesn’t merely live inside your head.

When you have creative ideas, they’re about something. Whether a houseplant to grow. Or a bowl of mac-and-cheese to gobble. Or how to set in motion a truce with your clothes closet, so you can stop having a fight with it every single morning.

Whenever creative inspiration arises within you, it needs to go somewhere, helping you to:

  • Make something new for yourself.
  • Find a new way help others.
  • Connect with one or more people you care about.

Awaken Your Creativity #3.

Always with Creativity, Your Soul Is Involved

Whatever you do that’s creative? Automatically, you can do it your way.

For reference, think with me for a moment about the idea that you’ve lived here before, in human embodiment. Hello!  Never before have you had this exact same Earth personality. So funny and sweet. So shrewd and clever. All this and more-more-more.

Every single lifetime, creativity brings your suchness, your distinctive individuality, into this world. Always making a difference, even if the only ones who know what you’ve done every time? Are you and God.

Every Honorable Use of Your Creativity Lights up Your Soul

Results show in all your 1,000+ chakra databanks. Most particularly, using your creativity is one of the best ways to light up your Soul Chakra Databank for Soul Thrill. Details about that are coming in a standalone article later in this series on Your Soul in the Age of Awakening.

Now for those tips I’ve promised you, Blog-Buddies.

Use Creativity. Make Your Soul Happy. Tip #1

Choose an Interest

Don’t wait to be called. Or pulled. Or inspired.

Now ain’t the Age of Faith, when determinism was all the rage. Since we’re all living in the Age of Awakening, our creativity reflects the following:

  1. Living now, you have an inborn sense of Personhood.
  2. Not sure what “Personhood” is for you? Know that you can find it. You can wake it up, so that it becomes an active force in your life. Personal sessions of Energy Spirituality can help.
  3. Living now, as an adult, you don’t have to seek permission from your family. Choose your own career and creative activities.
  4. Use your free will to decide which what would be fun for you, creatively. You’re authorized.
  5. Creative expression now is so much easier now. As of 12/21/12, you’ve been living in the Age of Awakening.

So feel free to choose for yourself which kinds of creativity you’re going to do. Make your own choice, just for this day.

For Example

  • If you’re a runner, will you choose a new place for your day’s exercise?
  • If you’re a singer, after you warm up your voice today, what will you sing?

Since that we’re now discussing tips, it’s time for you to help make this blogpost come more alive. COMMENT any time with your reactions. For instance, would you like me to clarify about using your creativity more freely in the Age of Awakening? Ask away.

Those who comment and highlight most – receive most.

Use Creativity. Make Your Soul Happy. Tip #2

Choose Your Audience

Creativity must be a flow. Not directed only toward yourself.

  • If you’re finding a new path for running, maybe you’ll let some runner-buddies know about it later.
  • When you explore different ways of singing one song, or aria, who can you invite to your living room concert?

Can you invite God to be your companion, your audience? Always. But don’t keep it abstract. You’ll have better results if you position a particular pillow or stuffed animal in the room. While you sing, look at that Divine symbol, that object.

God doesn’t need a plaid pillow to be your audience. You’re the human, though, in this relationship. You’re the one who needs a tangible Something to Look at while you sing to God.

Use Creativity. Make Your Soul Happy. Tip #3

Each Form of Creativity Requires Skills

Unless you’re a toddler, that is. Young children can play at anything. It’s adorable.

Frankly, you’re still adorable, despite being somewhat older than a three-year-old. But you’re no longer that same kind of adorable. If you’re going to play the piano or draw a picture:

  • Learn some basic skills
  • Or else improve the quality of your creativity by leveling up your skill

By all means, COMMENT to share your favorite resource for learning how to refine a certain kind of creativity skill. Where would you go for quality knowledge? Why make that choice?

Use Creativity. Make Your Soul Happy. Tip #4

Go by Routine, Not Your Mood

Assuming that you want to build momentum as a creative, choose one particular time each day. Get into a routine:

  • Creating for just 10 minutes, each day, is better than 5 hours once a month.
  • On any given day, if you’re having fun, maybe you can extend the time.
  • Hey, you could choose those 10 minutes with an extra 20 available right after, just in case you need them.

It would be helpful if some of you could share your experience with this. Who’s got a story? Either a success story or a gulp! not-success! story – both could make for valuable shares.

Use Creativity. Make Your Soul Happy. Tip #5

Avoid Bad Advice

You know, Blog-Buddies, there’s a reason why each of my articles includes a section about my standing. Early on.

That’s because I want you to know about my qualifications to give good recommendations.

I wish all bloggers did. Honestly, have you seen some of the totally dreadful, Small Truth Value articles on Medium and Substack? Many wannabe writers don’t know what they’re writing about.

Sometimes they mostly have standing for their articles, but sometimes they slip-slide into less responsible writing. For example, “Sam” has built a following by writing useful articles about pop psychology. But he’s also expanded into writing about meditation and Spiritual Enlightenment. Since these are two areas where I do have standing to form an opinion, what do I think?

Sam is creating some really-really bad karma for himself. Not to mention, making some of his readers more confused than ever.

Let’s Call out Muddleheaded Advice for Writers

Having worked for decades as a writing professional, I’m especially annoyed when articles contain really bad advice for writers. Here are four of the worst kinds I’ve seen:

  1. Just keep writing. You’ll improve. [Supposedly]
  2. God loves you, that’s enough. Or you’ll remember from your past life as Leonardo da Vinci. For whatever reason, you don’t need any creativity teacher from this life. [Supposedly]
  3. Every point of view is valid. You never know who will be helped. [Supposedly]
  4. Your story of pain and trauma will heal others. [Supposedly]

By all means, let us know your thoughts. Why could each of these ideas be like poison for your creativity?

Or voice your disagreement with my point of view.

Also, if you like, ask me: What do I think is so dreadful about these kinds of advice?

How to Awaken Your Creativity Daily

Yes, Here’s that Bonus I Promised You Earlier

Your creativity can power one of the best ways for you to help yourself grow – full speed ahead – every day.

Choose two different forms of creativity to do that day. Such as:

  1. Singing or karaoke.
  2. Dancing or mime.
  3. Making something, like crocheting or carpentry or sketching a new recipe.
  4. Coloring a picture your way in a coloring book. Inside the lines or not!
  5. Going onto social media, like Facebook (or this blog), and writing one or more ideas. Your responses to other people’s ideas count, too.

Schedule into your day these two different periods of time. Your Creativity Time. Allow yourself up to 10 minutes for each of these creativity periods.

Results will show in a very important part of your aura: Your Soul Chakra Databank for Soul Thrill.

Questions, anyone? Is it really possible that something so simple can help you to feel more alive, and even help others too?

Finally, Turn on Your Light Switch for Creativity

Most people don’t know that they can learn creativity skills. Not skills for drumming or watercolors, which are specific skills for a particular art form. Creativity skills center on you as a person. Allowing you to protect and nurture your creativity, then let it flow fully, however you aim to use it.

As a Creativity Coach, I can guide you to experience the power of learning some essential creativity skills. As it happens, this Energy Spirituality® Blog contains the following online resources, designed for creatives. Whether you have found a favorite form of creativity yet OR not.

The following resources can be game-changers.

  2. Overcome Creativity Myths

In Conclusion

Thanks for reading, everybody. To Awaken Your Creativity is surprisingly easy, isn’t it? At least doing it in the way that I’ve recommend in this article. Summing up:

Twice daily, for up to 10 minutes. Two different creative activites per day. That’s all it takes to Awaken Your Creativity.

If you’re already doing this, can you share how you managed to get into the groove?

After you did Awaken Your Creativity for three days straight – or longer – what did you notice by way of result?

I’m looking forward to learning about your experience. Even small successes would be lovely to read about here. And if you had any questions, or worries, of course you can COMMENT about that kind of thing, too. Problem solving is one of the specialties of Energy Spirituality®.

    Jean S. says:

    LOVE!

  2. 102

JEAN S., thank you so much.

    Victoria says:

“Creativity is a flow that begins within you, then flows out toward other people. Your creativity even helps to shape Collective Consciousness, which is an abstract-but-real way that all of us humans are connected.”

  4. 104
    Victoria says:

This definition of Creativity is so helpful and inspiring.

I like that you suggest to create a routine to use our creativity instead of waiting for the mood to strike.

  5. 105

    Thank you, VICTORIA.

Back in the Age of Faith, from the Romantic era onward, there was such an emphasis on creativity as super special, and the artist or writer was super special, and they suffered but it was worthwhile.

  6. 106

This sort of mythology ran counter to how creativity really flows. Out, to give to people.

Based in having something to give: Some skills or some knowledge.

  7. 107

Currently there’s the fascinating phenomenon of Substack, which is generating its own mythology about writers.

It’s in Substacks (that is, articles on Substack) written for “authors” there, and it also shows in many Substacks by authors who find it very important to share their personal story.

  8. 108

As an active writer on Substack, I find this myth-making about creativity to be a fascinating collection of Low Truth Value ideas, such as:

    1. Even if you never wrote anything before, you can become an author on Substack.

  9. 109

    2. You will make a ton of money.

    3. It doesn’t matter if you have nothing to say that’s true or original or helpful. Just keep publishing on Substack.

  10. 110

    4. The more you write on Substack, the better your writing will become.

An interesting experiment for many is in progress on Substack.

  11. 111

The truth is, if you want to become a good writer, or dancer, or whatever kind of creative artist, it’s essential to develop the technical skills required to do that art form.

This holds true for the professional quality writing on Substack and Medium. Some of the writers have paid the price to become good writers, and that shows.

  12. 112

“Just keep doing it” will not help the aspiring creative to progress.

Also helpful is to master skills of creativity per se, how to use your creativity. That is the purpose of “Creativity Secrets with Soul” – the workshop, and even can inspire you with the FREE Intro to “Creativity Secrets with Soul”.

  13. 113

That skill includes practical ideas as well as technical knowledge about what really works well for creative activities and problem solving.

Thank you, TOM, for bringing up your thoughts on this topic. Using our creativity can ennoble us, and also inspire others.
