Today I’m publishing this version of our article at my personal blog. Please, though, send your comments only to the version of this article on Medium.
Why have I made the switch? Learn the very human details from my pinned post on making that switch, over at the link just provided.
Wisdom Seekers, your questions and reactions enliven all the articles at this Energy Spirituality® Blog.
As we explore together, I’ll give you Wisdom Seekers many opportunities to share your point of view. So, feel free to highlight, clap, and respond at any time. On Medium.
In my experience, those who engage the most? They learn the most, too.
Now let’s get going.
1. Do You Worry about How Others See You?
Will They Find You Authentic?
After facilitating thousands of sessions for Energy Spirituality® clients, I’m no longer flabbergasted. Yet it’s always a bit of a shock to me, how many people worry about their authenticity. I’ve helped many such clients to do better. (See info about my Standing, near the end of this article.)
Wisdom Seekers, I have a lot to share with you today about the spiritual side of authenticity. Our first concept is this:
Quit caring about how other people will judge you. Or what they’ll think of you.
Make that choice and your life will go on. Actually, your life will likely go on better than ever.
Rev. Terri Cole-Whittaker put the solution perfectly: What You Think of Me Is None of My Business.
2. A Paralyzing Paradox:
Being Authentic Enough, Is This Worth Worrying About?
Being popular or famous enough. Or other variations on “Good Enough,” as decided by other people.
From a Spiritual Perspective, What’s the Paradox?
The harder you strive to shape yourself in a way that aims to please other people? The more unlikely it is that the people you’re striving to please … will even get to know you.
If you’re really successful at such a quest, will get to know “you” as a copy of the person you’re trying to please.
Likewise, striving to be popular is a shortcut to something, alright. It’s a shortcut to losing your way in life.
And What About Seeking Fame?
From my perspective as an Enlightenment Coach, helping people to use their full human-and-spiritual potential, guess what? Fame would not mean you’re a superior human being. Fame is merely a kind of Karma.
Going viral is no more spiritually meaningful than having good hair. Seriously, fame means only that you’ve got… Fame Karma.
Any but-but-buts about that, Wisdom Seeker?
What do you think about the idea of Fame Karma, anyhow?
By all means, let me know if you’d like me to list links to all seven articles: Articles about Fame Karma.
3. Worrying About Authenticity Used to Bring Bad Karma
But No Longer.
Why am I telling you that, for those of us living now, worrying about your authenticity won’t generate new Karma?
Why won’t this kind of Karma come back to you later?
Regular readers of this Energy Spirituality® Blog know that Karma is an ancient idea. Going back for thousands of years, into the Age of Faith.
According to this Age of Faith understanding of Karma, folks used to believe something pretty scary. For thousands of years, the belief was that you set Karma in motion for every single thing you said or did or THOUGHT.
Ever hear that idea, Wisdom Seekers? If so, did you believe it? If so, could you do anything to protect yourself from having impure thoughts that would instantly create horrible Karma for you?
4. Fortunately, in the Age of Awakening,
Your Understanding of Karma Can Change.
You see, Karma works a bit differently now. A big change was set in motion on Dec. 21, 2012. Ever since that “Shift” the Age of Awakening, hello! Humanity has begun to live in a second consciousness era on Earth.
To this explorer of spirituality, moving into the Age of Awakening is that big a deal. One of the major changes is this: No longer do we receive Karma for what we think or feel. Only our speech and actions generate Karma.
To learn more about this complex topic, I invite you to read our earlier article on Karma. Then keep reading. Our lively conversation there includes well over 4 THOUSAND COMMENTS from readers like you, and my responses.
Wisdom Seeker, have you noticed that since the Shift–you’ve been growing faster, emotionally and spiritually?
Could it help you that we humans no longer receive Karma for what we think and feel?
Some of you may feel some resistance to this idea. Well, if you can, put that resistance into words. Then bring it up here! Let’s have us a comment conversation. 😃
5. Right Now, Claim Independence of Thought, Speech, and Action
Doing This for Yourself Can Be Surprisingly Easy
Find your own way to quit caring about what others think of you. Also, please, stop second-guessing what you’ve said and done, as though that can ever help a thing.
Start living juicier. Wake up your spiritual self-authority
Would any of you like to know more about that? Just ask.
6. However You Find the Strength, You Can Insist on
Finding that Strength. Then Use It.
You. Can. Do. This.
I think so. And why? Because, as you’ve surely noticed, there really is such a thing as a bad habit. Merely a bad habit, not to be confused with The Will of God.
Granted, all habits are not equally easy to quit.
Did you know? Two different kinds of mess are involved in quitting a habit, TOUGH QUITTING and EASY QUITTING. I’ll share my latest thinking about this with you.
7. Fortunately, TOUGH QUITTING Is Rare, Compared to How Common It Is
To Need Some Relatively EASY QUITTING
One example of relatively Tough Quitting is smoking cigarettes, like ending a pack a day habit. Consequences of smoking can include emphysema and cancer. For sure, every cigarette you smoke will send secondhand smoke to your loved ones. The cost of all those death sticks can be considerable, too.
Quitting can be very hard, though. For one thing, this kind of Tough Quitting involves a chemical addiction. I applaud all professionals who help smokers to quit.
Are any of you readers ex-smokers? Good for you! Please share your success story.
In addition, did the following ever occur to you?
8. Karma Can Become Another Component of
Tough Quitting
Seems to me, habitual smokers develop significant Bad Karma that pushes them in the direction of smoking. In the Age of Awakening, a smoker generates Returning Karma from every instance of buying cigarettes, smoking them, etc.
Returning Karma for a habitual smoker might involve a strong subconscious sense that “I can’t stop smoking.” As well as developing habitual friendships based on smoking, and also sentimental ties to places that are wonderful places to smoke. Returning Karma for Smoking is the equivalent of deep ruts in a road, making it extra hard for the smoker to take any other path.
By contrast, some habits require only Easy Quitting. One example is the habit of worrying about authenticity. AKA, “Will people like me?”
Even though this habit can wreck personal authenticity, there’s good news. Changing that habit can come relatively easy.
9. What’s Involved in Dropping the Lighter Load of
An EASY QUITTING Habit?
Basically, an EASY QUITTING habit is about inner life, such as feelings or thoughts of worry. Not because you’re actively saying or doing terrible things. Although the worrying isn’t pleasant ….
At least, the worrier doesn’t keep adding new bad Karma for worrying. The karmic aspect of unhelpful habits, as discussed in this article, may be new to you. Wisdom Seeker, what’s your reaction?
Seems to me, due to living now, we receive Karma only from what we say and do. So it can become relatively easy for us to stop worrying about other people’s reactions to us.
Incidentally, if somebody disagrees with something you do or say, is that the same thing as your having a problem with your personal way of being? As in being inauthentic?
10. Of Course, You Could Seek out Therapy,
And Start Riding the Trauma Train
Seems to me, though, there’s a big difference beween having a mental health problem versus having a human problem.
With all the respect due to brilliant-and-courageous psychotherapists, some therapists consider that every human problem is, ultimately, a mental health problem–probably listed in the DSM5.
I couldn’t disagree more. Energy Spirituality could be considered my response to this approach.
Wisdom Seeker, did you ever consider this perspective on therapy and pop psychology? It’s a very personal kind of belief about problems.
Is your usual approach to believe that human problems are merely human? So you make it your business to solve them.
Alternatively, is your first reaction, “I’d better bring in a mental health professional”?
What your opinion about all this, Wisdom Seekers? At this blog there is room for many different opinions.
For example, seems to me ….
11. From a Spiritual Perspective, Fear of Not Being Authentic
Can Indicate a Consciousness Problem
Not just a human problem. And not a mental health problem, either.
As the Founder of Energy Spirituality®, let me explain what I mean here. When a client comes to me, asking to become authentic, I know there’s a problem. Still, I don’t yet know which one of two kinds of spiritual problem is involved.
Early on, in that session of Energy Spirituality, I’ll set up co-creating with my client’s choice of a Divine Being. (Usually God.) Then I’ll facilitate a Skilled Empath Merge, where I experience directly in my consciousness what it is like to be the other person.
Do I ever conclude, “This person has problems that can’t be helped by Energy Spirituality?” Do you think such a thing never happens?
Ask, if you like, about an educational incident in this regard. An incident from when I taught Transcendental Meditation.
12. Anyhow, Assuming That a Newbie Is Doing Okay
Over the last 40 years, helping clients to stop feeling inauthentic, I discovered this. Within the scope of work for Energy Spirituality®, one of two very different problems may be involved.
That’s right. From the perspective of Energy Spirituality, yes! Two different kinds of consciousness problem… can cause a person to feel inauthentic. (This is such a terrible feeling. I’m glad to propose a different approach that works. An approach that doesn’t require psychotherapy. And where mental health professionals, these days, have NO skills.)
13. Usually, I’ll Discern that My Client Has a Problem
Caused by One Particular Type of Energetic STUFF in Auras
Within Energy Spirituality®, many skills to help a client involve this: Removing some energetic garbage, or “STUFF.”
Since often, this subconscious and energetic mess is what has caused problems. By now I have co-created different skills that remove dozens of varieties of STUFF. The skills include how to facilitate permanent healing for every kind.
As you can imagine, Wisdom Seeker, having these distinctive skills allows me to gain unique perspective on problems like, “I worry about not being authentic enough.” If you click on this next link, you’ll learn about many different kinds of energetic STUFF that could be stuck in a client’s aura.
Important to know about Energy Spirituality ENERGY HEALING: All energetic STUFF in auras exists as a subconscious problem. STUFF is not conscious; and it’s definitely real.
Also real is using lock-and-key skills for removing it permanently.
Once recognized, a problem caused by energetic STUFF in auras can usually be solved with one specific Healing Centerpiece. We’re talking about permanent energy healing in just one session. Alternatively, what if several kinds of STUFF are mucking up a client’s aura? Then, additional sessions might help, with results expected from every session.
14. Alternatively, I Might Find a Pattern that Means
My Client Has an Unhelpful Consciousness Lifestyle
Wisdom Seekers, this kind of subconscious-and-energetic problem is not about energetic STUFF in my client’s aura. Rather it’s a kind of pattern called a consciousness lifestyle.
- What if a client has, unintentionally, developed the Consciousness Lifestyle of Spiritual Addiction?
- Or my client has inadvertently slipped into the Consciousness Lifestyle of Psychological Overwork?
- Either way, I can give my client some targeted, simple, tested, instructions for moving back into a normal way of life, a Self-Actualizing Consciousness Lifestyle.
In my experience, those instructions work beautifully. These days, it’s pretty rare for a member of THE Enlightenment Establishment to discern these problems. Whether that expert does energy healing, medical healing, or psychological healing. I’ll link you to an article about top psychologists that might sound a wake-up call in that regard.
For Best Results, What Would I Recommend?
If you’re tired of fighting yourself over authenticity, do this: Seek out a member of TODAY’S Enlightenment Establishment. (I am one.) To help those who are suffering, seems to me, all of us helping ones must develop good quality skills of energetic literacy. (Stage 3 Energetic Literacy is plenty for most people.)
Seems to me, these skills make all the difference in this Second Consciousness Era on Earth. Otherwise, it’s like being illiterate. In a spiritual context, that amounts to being “Energetically Illiterate.”
Wisdom Seeker, if you find other resources besides Energy Spirituality®, please share the info her. Why do you think this expert is a member of TODAY’S Enlightenment Establishment? In your response, please include the url of a related website.
I would love to find more colleagues. More members of TODAY’S Enlightenment Establishment!
