5. This statement from Keir is my favorite of her set of six ways of describing what it means to be an empath. Not that I agree with her completely, but it’s an okay start.
Not to get ahead of myself, RYAN and other Blog-Buddies, she has written:
“The difficult part of being empathic is that you also pick up on the negative energy and feelings of sadness and despair.”
I do agree that ONE of the difficult aspects of being an empath is… that every single unskilled empath does innumerable unskilled empath merges daily. And these lead to Imported STUFF loading in the empath’s aura.
However, this empath adviser offers such a vague, incomplete, an inaccurate version of this fact of life for empaths…
Inadvertently she has disqualified herself as a helper to empaths, assuming that an empath acts like a smart consumer and pays attention to how any empath expert defines being an empath in the first place.
In case you’re wondering, RYAN and other Blog-Buddies, what are some other difficult aspects of being an empath?
Some are directly related to which empath gift — or gifts — that particular empath has. For instance, someone with Animal Empath Talent may have difficulty witnessing a pet that isn’t being well cared for.
This might include walking past the apartment of somebody who has a neglected dog… and, although that empath doesn’t even know there’s a dog nearby, that empath may do many an unskilled empath merge whenever walking by that apartment.
Blog-Buddies, you can see from this example that certain difficulties are unique to the unskilled empath’s particular set of gifts as an empath.
What’s a more common aspect of being an empath that brings problems?
Until an unskilled empath becomes a Skilled Empath, the sense of self is weak and distorted… compared with what it could be. How come? Due to the subconscious and energetic consequences of doing all those unskilled empath merges.
6. Related to her previous pronouncement about problems that Keir (erroneously) thinks that exclusively happen to empaths….
“This can lead to problems with anxiety and depression when it is hard to separate yourself from the unpleasant emotions of others.”
Spoken like a professional psychotherapist, indeed. Supposedly, “it is hard to separate yourself from the unpleasant emotions of others.”
As a therapist, Keir might teach this skill to her clients. It might fall under the category of “boundary work,” which so many empath experts who are into psychology can teach their clients.
FWIW, I never teach empaths boundary work. Period.

RYAN, there’s one last kind of commenting that I would like to do on this self-appointed helper for those who have problems with “Being an Empath.” I’m going to research what her empath gifts are, based on Keir Brady’s photo that appears on her page at LinkedIn.

Not that I would do this research for an empath who asked for this. But on occasion I will do this about a public figure.
Anyway, I decided to start researching Keir Brady’s empath gifts by exploring her score on the Energy Spirituality SENSITIVITY SCALE.
Sigh! Best I can find out, she scores 2 out of 20. Plainly put, she’s no empath. Actually, she’s a Highly INsensitive Person. The only kind of person who is less sensitive scores a 1 out of 20, and is what I call a Highly, Highly INsensitive Person.
Anyway, I decided to start researching Keir Brady’s empath gifts by exploring her score on the Energy Spirituality SENSITIVITY SCALE.
Sigh! Best I can find out, she scores 2 out of 20. Plainly put, she’s no empath. Actually, she’s a Highly INsensitive Person. The only kind of person who is less sensitive scores a 1 out of 20, and is what I call a Highly, Highly INsensitive Person.
Increasingly, Blog-Buddies, in recent years, I’ve encountered many self-authorized empath experts who are not, personally, wired for life with even one single empath gift.
Hey, that was even more interesting than I thought it would be.
Keir Brady isn’t even an empath herself? Mercy me, as my mother used to say!
For my other empath inquiry I would like to nominate the psychologist who wrote an article entitled “What is an Empath?: Signs and Traits.”

This article was written recently by Hope Gillette.
It is even medically reviewed, no kidding. This article was medically reviewed by no less than Debra Rose Wilson, Ph.D., MSN, R.N., IBCLC, AHN-BC, CHT. So I guess it has to be true, every word.
Two parts of this article in particular really gave my eyebrows a workout.
First this:
“Empathy involves being able to understand and relate to the emotional states of others. When you’re highly attuned to this form of perception, you may be what’s referred to as an empath.”
Where are all your fancy degrees Rose?
How come they can only come up with one empath gift, Empathy. Meanwhile little old you has found and researched 15 different empath gifts?
As if that wasn’t weird enough, here is another little gem from this article.
“An empath isn’t a formal designation. It’s a term used to describe a collective experience of heightened emotional sensitivity.”
Geeesh! I know for sure I’m am an empath. I know the names and definitions of many empath gifts that I have for sure, just as I know that the system of Empath Empowerment(R) has made an enormous difference for me.
Thank you for shedding light here because I’m sure as heck that I am not having “a collective experience of heightened emotional sensitivity.”
Isn’t that something, RYAN B? At the outset I’ll share my opinion that credentials as a clinical psychologist do not represent any kind of preparation to understand — let alone help — empaths.
What DOES Prepare an Enlightenment Teacher to Do a Good Job Helping Empaths?
Here’s my short list of criteria, something I’ve never published before.
1. Any Empath Teacher MUST Personally Be an Empath
Maybe that’s obvious. But, according to my recent research of Psychtherapist Keir, she she isn’t an empath. Although she works as a psychotherapist. Honestly, the nerve!
Since by my estimate, 1 in 20 people was born as an empath, there’s hardly a scarcity, is there?
2. Any Empath Teacher MUST Have a Minimum of Stage 3 Energetic Literacy
Empath gifts are about consciousness, and skill for an empath will impact how well that empath’s aura functions. Although professional psychologists may have a wealth of knowledge about mental health problem, living as an empath does not constitute a mental health problem. Not in reality, anyway.
Learning these skills can be easy, now that all of us are living in the Age of Awakening.
For one thing, a systematic online workshop series is available. Any person with normal mental health, and a willingness to learn the skills of energetic literacy, can learn these skills just fine.
Unless an Empath Teacher can research what’s happening in a client’s chakra databanks, there is no accountability. To be blunt, when a would-be Empath Teacher offers instructions that are irrelevant and ineffective, that teacher can learn the truth.
Otherwise? Fat chance. An effective Empath Teacher must be an expert at researching chakra databanks.
I’ll play. I did a Skilled Empath Merge on Governor Hochul. I chose her Root Chakra Databank for Connection to Objective Reality.
Whew! And I’m going public with this. I am just a beginner everybody.

When you use a quality method for Skilled Empath Merge, why is it good for you? A number of reasons.
Reason 1. You’re cocreating with a Divine Being
That would be the Divine Being of your choice. (Definitely not an astral being.)
Cocreating with a Divine Being will expand your awareness, and also accustom you to be in the presence of God or Jesus or Merlin or Archangel Gabriel . . . in a way where you are working together for a purpose.
BTW, each Divine Being has a unique flavor. It’s fascinating, and a great privilege, to get to know different ones in this way.
Reason 2. Otherness
You’re learning what it’s like to be — in consciousness — a completely different human being.
That means, you temporarily get out of the box of being yourself, living with your individual soul expression for this entire lifetime.
Reason 3. Safety
While you’re gaining all the other benefits of Skilled Empath Merge, let’s flag the easy-to-overlook benefit of safety. Easy to overlook because deep down, don’t most of us humans expect to be safe?
Ultimately, we are safe. Since, as I learned from my super-expert teacher of past-life regression, Coletta Long:
You will always be in some kind of body somewhere.
Still, in these early decades of the Age of Awakening, many trusting seekers of truth — or simply seekers of paranormal adventure — try experiments that are definitely NOT safe in the long run.
The risks increase exponentially if we misuse our Consciousness Positioning Superpower, so new in the Age of Awakening.
So it’s worth giving credit to how Divine Beings can help to keep Skilled Empath Merge safe for those who explore it, as well as those who receive it.
Provided we use a well designed technique, and don’t monkey around with it. All the versions of Skilled Empath Merge in “The Master Empath” are going to be safe for you, for instance.
Reason 4. Receiving a Divine Blessing DURING the process.
Maybe obvious, maybe not. But think about it. If you team up to do a job with anyone, what if that other person is really wonderful? Won’t you feel uplifted to be part of that team?
Whenever you facilitate a Skilled Empath Merge, the benefits aren’t only about the cool information that you download.
The process itself is sacred. Let’s call it, “Sacred but not formal or stiff.” Doing Skilled Empath Merge can gently inspire you.
Reason 5. Receiving a Divine Blessing AFTER the process.
Reading your notes afterward, you can find good reason to feel inspired. When doing a Skilled Empath Merge, we don’t make things up. What we learn isn’t same old, same old.
Rather, we receive insights into our Discovery Person, insights that are unexpected.
Of course it helps that the process of Skilled Empath Merge includes insights that you receive directly from the Divine Being who is cocreating with you.
