What is Darshan? Basically, Darshan is a significant spiritual blessing that one can receive from another human being.
Initially, in Part 1, we considered what Darshan meant back during the Age of Faith.
In general, the ideal included a kind of contagious holiness: Like the idea that spiritual purity was transmitted by a holy person. Or object. Particularly, in the East, Darshan happened when you were in the presence of a saint. Namely, somebody in Spiritual Enlightenment.
However, Darshan can mean something very different today. Now that we’re all living in the Age of Awakening. (Definitely, all of us have been doing that. Know it or not, like it or not. Living in this Age of Awakening ever since the Shift on 12/21/12.)

Second, for this Article Part 2, How to Define Darshan NOW?
In this Age of Awakening, we can receive Darshan. Primarily we receive it from:
- A person living in Spiritual Enlightenment.
- When we have direct contact with that individual — that is, in energetic real time. Such as being in the same room. Alternatively, we might be talking via phone, Skype, Zoom, etc.
Already You May Have Just Learned a Couple of Secrets about Darshan
And these aren’t even the main 5 Secrets in this article. Which you’re even less likely to know… so far.
Yet those previous Points #1 and #2 make sense, don’t they? Protecting yourself from wasting time with superstitions. (Like some discussed in our Part 1 article.)

#1. No Guesswork Needed. (Nor Superstition, Either)
Who has “It”?
Essentially that’s the kind of guesswork I’m talking about, regarding our first Darshan Secret.
You see, Blog-Buddies, back in the day, how could you tell who was in Enlightenment? Or who was a “Saint”?
Unless you have a pretty clear idea about who’s Darshan-worthy, how can you get yourself some?
Back in the Age of Faith, people assumed. They guessed. Best they could do.
But now? Living in the Age of Awakeing, how can you tell today?

During the Age of Faith…
Plenty of People NOT in Enlightenment Have Been Considered “Saints”
One reason I love Yogananda’s “Autobiography of a Yogi”? All his stories about this. Chapter after chapter, in his gentle way, Paramahansa Yogananda exposed astral specialists — like “The Perfume Saint.” Nowhere close to Spiritual Enlightenment.
Rather, these “saints” had mastered one astral trick or another. Enough to convince many a desperate spiritual seeker that this person was “holy.”
In my upcoming book you’ll learn (among other things) quite a lot of discernment about this sort of thing:. Helping spiritual seekers to avoid barking up wrong trees, as it were.
Come to think of it, all this is… Tantamount to today’s confusions over being an empath. So many empaths today are studying with “empath experts” who aren’t themselves empaths in the first place!
Fact is, if anything, compared to the Age of Faith… Probably more people not in Enlightenment are claiming to be “There.” So discernment matters immensely, seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening.

Enter Today’s Aura Reading. Including Chakra Databanks
Energetic literacy allows us to learn what is going on in anybody’s aura. And yes, you could gain that skill. It’s not much more difficult than learning word literacy. Just takes a while.
Clairvoyance, I hasten to add, is NOT required. Not if you’re aiming to gain Stage 3 Energetic Literacy.

#2. Your Storehouse of Impressions
Whenever you have been in the presence of somebody in Spiritual Enlightenment, guess what? You remember that. Deep down.
Exactly how deep… deep down?
All the way down to the deepest down within a human life experience. In fact, there’s a traditional name for that deepest down: The Chitta.
Definitely known for the past 10,000 years or so, and also known by this Enlightenment Teacher today!
Your Chitta, or Storehouse of Impressions, contains precise and detailed memories of everything that has ever happened to you:
- What you saw. Even what you saw with peripheral vision.
- What you heard. Including whatever you overheard.
- How you reacted inwardly.
By now, are you getting the idea? The idea of the immense scope of information in your own Storehouse of Impressions?

At this writing, 4 hits. But isn’t that often the case with leading-edge ideas from Energy Spirituality™? You’ll find them here, at this website and blog. Not necessarily elsewhere, not yet.
Coincidentally? Not. Does any other website currently teach the system of Aura Reading Through All Your Senses®?
Unfortunately, not having developed good skills for energetic literacy, hello! Other spiritual teachers and personal growth experts… Sigh! Suffice it to say, they miss a whole lot.
In the Context of Darshan, What is Enlightenment Eye Flash?
Simply put, a person subconsciously registers Darshan. Briefly. And, did you consciously just register the word subconsciously? Important!
When encountering a person in Enlightenment, a stranger like Gladys briefly lights up. Like having the eyes within her eyes wake up, shine up. Only happens for a second or two.
Technically, the person in Enlightenment who witnesses Enlightenment Eye Flash is consciously seeing what? Beyond a brief eye flash, Gladys has just received some Darshan.

#5. Darshan Is a Matter of Degree, a Continuum
Most important for us to consider, now that we’re living in the Age of Awakening?
One could consider Darshan to be a matter of degree. Because:
- Each aura tells a story.
- Moreover, each of us subconsciously registers that story through auric modeling.
- After we learn good skills of energetic literacy, we can consciously research anybody’s chakra databanks. Including folks we know only from a photo or screenshot from Zoom, etc.
- Due to living in the Age of Awakening, millions of people are likely quite close to Spiritual Enlightenment. Although not yet living with that consciousness lifestyle.
- Altogether different from the Age of Faith, when almost nobody lived in Enlightenment. Or was even remotely close to Enlightenment.
Seems to me, there’s now a Continuum of Darshan.
Who’s in this Continuum of Darshan?
Quite likely, you! At least, if you’re a regular reader of this Energy Spirituality™ Blog.
Since spiritually powerful auric modeling is available from this range of people. Those living in:
- Traditional Enlightenment
- Age of Awakening Enlightenment
- The New Strong

First of all, JANICE HOOPER, you have my condolences — you and everyone else reading this who grew up with superstitions and illusions about evil waiting to hurt you, evil that could just “get into your home” and have it’s way with you, etc.
Second, does this fearful superstition have anything to do with the Age of Faith version of Darshan? Not really.
Since with Darshan an Eastern lover of God, like Sam, would CHOOSE to bring magical pictures of the guru into his home.
While a Western lover of God, like Gladys would CHOOSE to place magical Bible quote embroideries in all the rooms of her home. (Except, perhaps, the dirty bathroom… if her home had indoor plumbing.)
By contrast, what’s not about darshan at all? (Regarding this sad situation in which you grew up, JANICE HOOPER.)
Being actively pursued by a very potent, scheming force for evil, a Devil, a Satan.
That’s a very Age of Faith problem, one that persists to this day.
As for people today who are off the deep end with their religious fanaticism, Americans who are no longer capable of understanding our bedrock principle of separation of church and state, people who are light years away from realizing they live in the Age of Awakening…
Horrifying fanaticism, from religious fanatics like Bonnie Wallace in this article, threatens many of America’s public libraries.

I just thought of some other religious incidents from my childhood, labeled them fanaticism, and got some great relief. Definitely much Higher Truth Value.
INTERMITTENT fanatacism is even harder to identify than regular fantaticism.

The weather is lovely where I am today, after lots of bad weather, so I am having an especially happy day off.
I *had* a question about Darshan, but I think your response, Rose, to Janice’s question about supposedly evil objects answered my question as well.
I was going to ask about… it’s kind of embarassing… but I was going to ask about blankies and lovies.
I guess these don’t have anything to do with darshan. Even though they can really seem like wonderful objects with special properties. :)

Indeed, OSCAR MANUEL, Happy Indigenous Peoples Day!
Naming a day after Native Americans doesn’t really make reparations for the shameful history of how these people have been treated… to this day… but it sure beats calling today “Columbus Day.” IMO.
I’m glad you asked about “blankies and lovies.” Is there anybody reading these words who DIDN’T used to depend upon a beloved shirt, a rag that smelled like Mommy, a beloved if bedraggled stuffed animal, or a useful thumb?
Adjusting to a human lifetime is hard, especially when we feel homesick for where we were before starting this lifetime, aka Homesick for Heaven. (As described in today’s blogpost.)
Darshan objects CAN be mostly comfort objects. Or a believer in Old-Fashioned Darshan can find beautiful reasons, layered beliefs and sweet yearnings, memories of religious rituals, so much more added onto an object.
Likewise a beloved darshan object — such as the photo of a guru or saint — can become layered with astral-level Thought Forms. Subconsciously Positive Thought Forms can enhance the “priceless” value of the darshan object.
Better to learn to do Thought Form Healings, and otherwise make use of Energy Spirituality ENERGY HEALING, than continue to drag around the equivalent of a blankie or a pacifier.
Especially now that all of us are living in the Age of Awakening, when Darshan works differently. (Like so many other things.)
I also want to share a Darshan a-ha that I had recently.
I was thinking many things I’ve learned at the blog, one of them being this recent comment about one of the purposes of the blog:
“You’ve reminded me how one of my goals for this Energy Spirituality™ Blog is to help people to put their own subtle truth into words.
“Deeper Perception BECOMES Practical, in part, when we can use Human-Type Language — with a High Truth Value — to describe our spiritual experience. And, in so doing, make it more real to ourselves.”
And I realized, with the way Darshan works now, it’s so much more important that we are able to communicate. To speak and to write.
In other words, Age of Faith gurus could sit and give Darshan.
For instance, back in the Age of Faith, I visited one Hindu guru when she toured through my town.
She didn’t speak to me, she just nodded at me. And I suppose there was supposed to be Darshan that helped me with Spiritual Awakening. That was the idea.
But since that doesn’t really work… Definitely not in the Age of Awakening….
People who want to be Spiritual Leaders need to be able to communicate.

First of all, in the Age of Faith it was fine — just fine — to have a clergy member who never spoke at all. For instance, a Catholic priest officiating a Holy Communion.
Or a guru who seldom spoke, and was therefore all the more mysterious, radiating holiness.
So Age of Faith, this kind of thing.
The believer could imagine ANYTHING about the Darshan Bringer. Nothing would contradict this.
Much as the biggest old-time movie stars said as little as possible, enhancing their glamour. (Wasn’t “I want to be alone” a big part of the Greta Garbo allure?)
Second, sacred objects were all the more effective Darshan givers because they didn’t speak.
Love that baptismal font, encrusted with a ton of Positive Thought Forms. No loudspeaker. (ARIA, no autotune, either, right?)
Third, believers in the Age of Faith were likely illiterate.
As you may know, OSCAR and other Blog-Buddies, widespread literacy only became possible in the last centuries of the Age of Faith.
All the easier to bypass the worshipers conscious mind altogether, thanks to illiteracy; making faith and belief more important than ever. Only the special people could read or memorize-and-chant the Scripture!
By contrast, OSCAR MANUEL, what do we have in the Age of Awakening? We’ve got:
* Human individuality, personhood.
* Minds of our own.
* Word literacy is widespread.
* In our lifetimes, good skills of energetic literacy may also become widespread.
Furthermore, living in this Age of Awakening, “ordinary” humans are capable of learning how to cocreate with God. And some spiritual teachers even have learned effective skills that we can teach to folks who wish to learn them.
Who needs old-fashioned darshan, like “blessings” emanating from a “sacred wall tile,” when we can have all that?
Applause to you, Oscar Manuel. Does America really need more holidays that honor white men of European ancestry?

You mention “worship” several times, like worshipping a painting.
I understand that worshipping a painting or object is not really worth my time.
But do you think worshipping actual God is worthwhile in the Age of Awakening?
What do you think of “worship” overall? Is it necessary, optional, detrimental on one’s path to Spiritual Enlightenment?

Such a fascinating series of questions, OSCAR MANUEL!
Especially fascinating when seen in this light: As I make clear several times in the latest Energy Spirituality book, “Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening,” I don’t offer a path. Energy Spirituality can help folks to choose and refine a spiritual or religious path.
That said, worship isn’t a universal set of skills, such as how to use a refrigerator. Or how to open a jar.
Therefore, what is the best way for me to help any of you in answering the question about the impact of different kinds of worship that might appeal to you?
I’d recommend that you’d book a one-on-one session (by phone or Skype audio) for Enlightenment Coaching.
Bring along one or more examples of different kinds of worship you’ve been doing, especially recently. (Although former kinds of worship could also be worth exploring in an Energy Spirituality session.)

2. Perhaps we’ll turn up the need for a Healing Centerpiece from Energy Spirituality ENERGY HEALING.
Just one example, shortly before moving into Spiritual Enlightenment, two different clients requested sessions where the Healing Centerpiece was for me to facilitate cutting their cord of attachment to God. (For both these clients, this greatly accelerated moving into Enlightenment.)
3. In conjunction with other session specialties, I might discuss the mechanics of that form of worship… providing an immediate analysis as a consciousness engineer.
Just to show how practical this sort of Enlightenment Coaching session can be, here’s a recent example. My client Gladys is in Age of Awakening Enlightenment. As is common, she’s still sorting out what is true from sweet, worship-ey illusions she’d been taught in the past.
During her session, I facilitated Consciousness Positioning Consult, researching a time when Gladys was doing a simple, unflashy breathing technique.
To Gladys’s conscious mind, this didn’t seem nearly flashy enough. Pretty much akin to a waste of time.
Yet what happened when we compared a few pertinent chakra databanks:
* Before Gladys did that bit of Technique Time
* And when Gladys was about 5 minutes into Technique Time.
Results of that research?
Pre-Technique Time, Gladys was spontaneously positioning her consciousness at Human Vibrational Frequencies, enjoying her usual strong connection to God as well as humanly using her full potential in life.
Whereas when Gladys was 5 minutes into Technique Time?
Gladys was spontaneously positioning her consciousness at the Divine Vibrational Frequency.
Funny thing about positioning consciousness at the Divine Vibrational Frequency. It’s transcendent, not flashy. You know, Buddhists often refer to this experience as “The Void.”
That’s not exactly my favorite interpretation, although I can see the point.
Gladys did well as a result of that session.
Once we move into Spiritual Enlightenment, both Traditional Enlightenment and Age of Awakening Enlightenment, imo, it’s very important to have a session of Enlightenment Coaching every few months.
Granted, traditionally that’s not necessary. Yet, now that humanity is in the early years of the Age of Awakening, this sort of continuing help can make all the difference between remaining in Enlightenment or not.

About worship, in and of itself your response clarifies for me what worship is. One does things in order to worship, right? Worship is not just a way of being or an attitude.
Not that you were suggesting it for me in particular, but, haha,
I don’t think I would have any incidents about worship to bring to a session. Not really my thing. Maybe I tried it when I was a child but found it very uncomfortable.

At a time in history, still in the first decade after the Shift, so many people have over-subjective consciousness lifestyles, most commonly Spiritual Addiction and Psychological Overwork.
Understandably, for these folks, the lines are blurred between “all important” subjective reality versus what’s supposedly trivial, things that people do and say in objective reality.
I agree totally with what you wrote in Comment #364:
“One does things in order to worship, right? Worship is not just a way of being or an attitude.”
But, just for giggles, I’m going to do a little googling about what I do NOT believe to be true about worship:
“Worship God with your mind”
How many hits this morning? 84,800,000. Yep, 84 MILLION.
Again, I don’t believe the following to be true. In my new book, “Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening,” I call this sort of thing mood-making:
“Worship God with your mind”
How many hits this morning? 84,800,000. Yep, 84 MILLION.
Or how about this mood-making version, or over-subjective, version of worship:
“Worship God with your body”
How many hits this morning? 135,000,000 Yep, 135 MILLION.
There’s even this classic:
“With my body I Thee worship”
This marriage vow can be found in the Anglican Book of Common Prayer, from 1552.
Look, sex is good. Marriage is good. (At least, both of these can be good.)
But maybe, back in the 16th century, most people were still so spiritually unevolved as to believe the highest connection to God could come through exciting sensations in their animal bodies, plus maybe a bit of love.
Yet I tend to agree with you about worship, OSCAR MANUEL.
For example, sex is sex. Worship is worship, and it involves doing something other than “what comes naturally” to a human animal.

I was just thinking about this type of mysteriousness this morning and laughing to myself.
It quite convenient, isn’t it, to just be able to talk about the great mystery of It and That and Whatever It Is.
It’s one thing to be humble, and acknowledge unfolding Truth and personal growth.
And that as a human being, you don’t know everything.
In this case, you might actually have a chance of being helpful to another person, in your willingness to seek or create new human knowledge that might help them.
Honest, human humility opens the door to ingenuity.
It’s another thing entirely, choosing to use the convenient and glamorous “It’s a mystery” device.
This pretty much precludes your even trying to learn something new. This also precludes giving your student or follower anything that might be the least bit helpful for their human life.

Sure, the Age of Faith adulation of officially holy spiritual leaders — for instance, circa 1552 — was appropriate for humans who lived in the thick of that era.
But now that humans like us are living in the Age of Awakening, we can do things differently.
In a nutshell, here is why I’m challenging today’s entire Enlightenment Establishment by publishing “Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening.”

I love the term “Enlightenment Establishment” for your new book. Really makes sense to me.
I know all about thought forms. They’re made of energy, not human matter. That makes them spiritual.
Why wouldn’t some beautiful spiritual thought forms be just the thing for making a person’s worship more beautiful?
A SPIRITUAL PRINCESS, it’s good that you’re interested in thought forms. However, you could stand to learn more accurate knowledge, and more practical knowledge, than what you revealed in your comment.
For example, most thought forms in your aura — or in your furniture and clothes, and also any vehicle you might own: Most of these thought forms are either negative or outdated.

Darshan Is a Matter of Degree, a Continuum
This makes alot of sense to me…. A matter of degrees rather than binary yes or no.
A while ago I started conversing with a friend on the phone, who lived across several time zones and in Age of Awakening Enlightenment.
Each time we spoke at the end of our call, after our conversation I felt like a child from Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, effervescent, giggly, like little bubbles were bubbling up my throat.
Even though we just talked about simple normal things.
Darshan matters now, as always.
The version of Darshan we give-and-receive living now, in the Age of Awakening, is the topic of this article, of course.

When we and other people we know live in Spiritual Enlightenment, it could feel a lot like living in Heaven.
