Not the famous actor Richard Wilson (whose face I will read for you today)
Along with ISABELLE, JESSICA GATES won our last contest in 2014, What did you learn about deeper perception in 2014?
Her choice was to receive a face reading of an actor she admires, the Scottish actor and broadcaster, Richard Wilson. Why?
“He’s been on this planet for a while, and has developed some interesting asymmetries, especially around his eyes and his eyebrows.”
By contrast, the model pictured in today’s photograph is not the famous actor Richard Wilson. I couldn’t find a public domain, Wikipedia-like photograph to display here. Though I guess it is possible that this model’s name is also “Richard Wilson.” Maybe his legal name is “Random Man.”
Whatever! Definitely I find him adorb. Equally important, it’s ethical to share his mug shot.
Now, before I roll up my sleeves, or practice my face reader’s gaze for chunk-by-chunk of face reading data, I’d like to share something so sweet, a wonderful sample of how thorough and respectful this JESSICA is, so here’s an excerpt from her email with this nomination
A few years ago, I was watching a TV show, and thought, “I would love for Rose to read that guy’s face!” I’d like you to do a face reading of actor Richard Wilson. But as I was looking him up (to find out his name), all the pictures I saw of him had either been Photoshopped or were taken at an angle (or both) to hide the more fascinating aspects of his face. (And he also often wears glasses, which hides his eye deepeners and possible philosopher’s circles?)
If you have better luck than I had finding a suitable photograph, this would be my first choice. This is the best photograph I could find, but he’s got his head hanging to the side. (I think that’s normal for him, though).
Dr. Who fans, alert! Richard Wilson appeared in two episodes as “a” doctor, The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances.
Face Reading Richard Wilson
Face Reading Item #1: Left Eye Higher than Right Eye
How to See It on Richard Wilson
Hold an index card sideways at the bottom of each eye. Granted, that card will have to be tilted a bit, in keeping with the slightly off-kilter camera angle.
I do agree with JESSICA, having taken a look at many alternative photographs of the long-time actor, among current photographs the one she linked to is the best of the bunch for face reading purposes. Well done, JESSICA!
Anyway, take a look at how much more eye shows on the right side of Richard Wilson’s face. (And do remember to cross over to tell left from right on a face. His right side will be on the left half of your screen.)

Richard Wilson knows how to put the audience first. He is very aware of the public’s view of him, reaction to his every nuance of expression and gesture and voice.
The significance is similar for any non-actor: Putting a premium on pleasing the public, the boss, or authority figures.
Potential Challenge in the system of Face Reading Secrets
Underplaying attention to himself? Internally dissing what is personally meaningful but won’t make him popular?
Face Reading Item #2: Huge Lower Eyelid Curve
How to See It on Richard Wilson
Lower Eyelid Curve is the shape made at the lower half of the eye. It ranges from straight to curvy. In my system of face reading, there’s a Wariness Index ranging frrom 1-10. With a 10 representing the most curve possible — just what you’ll see with both of Richard Wilson’s eyes.

Childlike openness to new people, continuing openness to people after he knows them well. A profound learning can result.

Personal heartbreak? Hurt feelings?
It’s a matter of reciprocity, really. How many people Richard Wilson has met could match him, open for open?
Note to Jessica, in the light of your initial request: So there you have it: Asymmetry and not asymmetry about Richard Wilson’s eyes. Regarding his eyebrows, I’m going to steer clear. Because I’m not convinced that the hugely lifted right eyebrow is the usual position for him or if it is being raised purposely, in a Steven Colbert kind of way.
Face Reading Item #3: Mouth Angle on Right, Slightly UP
How to See It on Richard Wilson
Imagine a dot at the center of Richard Wilson’s mouth. Then imagine a second dot at the outer corner, all the way to the right. Connect those dots with an imaginary line (no lipstick or markers on your computer screen, please.)
The resulting angle goes up, but only slightly.
Corresponding talent in the system of Face Reading Secrets
A guarded optimism about how people will speak of him.
Potential Challenge in the system of Face Reading Secrets
Self-doubt, even while maintaining a cheerful and confident optimism?
This potential fragility is especially poignant for an actor, as all performers are so exposed and vulnerable while doing their art form. I admire the courage of any actor, singer, dancer, etc. who manages to perform before a camera or a live audience or both. However successful, great courage has been demonstrated.
Face Reading Item #4: Mouth Angle on Left, Definitely DOWN
How to See It on Richard Wilson
Imagine a dot at the center of Richard Wilson’s mouth. Then imagine a second dot at the outer corner, all the way to the left. Connect those dots with an imaginary line (no shaving cream streaks on your computer screen, please.)
The resulting angle goes down quite a lot.
To me, this is a really major — and poignant — asymmetry.

Sensitivity about hurting other people’s feelings.
Potential Challenge in the system of Face Reading Secrets
Down-Angled Mouth Corners are what I call a “Major Compassion Awakener” in “The NEW Power of Face Reading.”
People aren’t generally born with Down-Angled Mouth Corners. You get this AFTER certain experiences, based on how you have responded.
No doubt Richard Wilson has suffered from being criticized, judged, etc. This happens to all actors. Plus all the rest of us mortals!
Richard Wilson’s way of responding has, I suspect, been to take that criticism to heart. And it has colored his personal life, not so much what he projects in public.
That aforementioned sensitivity is his corresponding gift.
Face Reading Item #5: A VERY Long Philtrum
How to See It on Richard Wilson
The Philtrum is located between the nose and mouth. Richard’s is exceptionally long. (Both in proportion with the rest of his face and when compared to Philtrum Length in just about anybody you have ever seen.)
Corresponding talent in the system of Face Reading Secrets
To quote from “Read People Deeper,” which teaches how to research many philtrum categories, the talent here is “exceptional sexual stamina, both long-term and while in the act.”

Might it be hard to find a suitable partner?
We should all have such problems, right!
Face Reading Richard Wilson. In conclusion, from my face to yours
Great choice, JESSICA, for a face reading!
Comment below, everyone, including whether you have ever watched Richard Wilson as an actor.
Or that sexual stamina part, if you don’t mind sharing. ;-)

Thank you, Rose! I hadn’t paid much attention to his mouth angles or philtrum before. I was much more fascinated with his eyes and eyebrows. Interesting!
That didn’t really come out right. What I meant was thank you for drawing attention to other face details I had not really noticed before. :-)
How to confuse a Lilian: stick a photo of someone who you’re not doing a face reading of at the top of the blog and then wait for her to not read the intro properly. I was about to post some confused questions.
And yay for Scotland!
