Blog-Buddy ANGIE recently wrote in Comment #3, “Is this what some of the walk-ins are talking about?” The context was, “When E.T. saints come marching in .”

Further, ANGIE wrote, “Of course, I do not take everything I read for granted, but some of them are talking about what you do mention, and about an inter-galactic council which is ‘watching over Earth,’ they also claim that Earth’s bank system is about to change (especially this Summer, which, in their own words will be ‘memorable’) and that some day soon we will take place in that council of theirs”.

“Are these beings really in contact with Archangels and ascended masters as they claim ?”

Taking advice from a walk-in makes as much sense as taking advice from someone because he was born by Caesarean Section.

Each of us humans had to find some way of getting here, embodied, at earth.

Walk-ins are just more rare than vaginal births or C-Sections.

Sure, walk-ins have been glorified in movies like, “Heaven Can Wait.” And Ruth Montgomery wrote a bestseller about walk-ins, “Strangers Among Us.”

And if you have been a fan of “The X-Files,” you have been treated to entertainment about walk-ins.

Entertaining? Sure.

Exotic? Obviously.

However, being a walk-in does not confer special wisdom.

What is a walk-in?

When JOE is having a human lifetime, sometimes he is having a very rough time of it. Say that he is in rehab for the 10th time, and that drug addiction feels impossible to kick.

JOE isn’t at the end of his life contract, yet. However, he is invited to leave early if he wishes. Another soul, GLADDY LADDIE, has offered to be a walk-in.

The agreement is made. One night, a few hours after bedtime at the Rehab Center, JOE leaves his body. It’s a lot like what happens at death. Except instantly GLADDY LADDIE moves in.

Not unlike a relay race at the Olympics.

The special knowledge of a walk-in

To some extent a walk-in does have special knowledge. GLADDY LADDIE, for instance, knows that he is a walk-in. He keeps all the storehouse of impressions — the chit, to use a Sanskrit term — from all his previous incarnations, plus memories of between lifetimes as an angel. That is available in the background… much like what we non-walk-ins have got.

In addition, GLADDY LADDIE gets a download about memories that JOE has accumulated. So he can recognize his own mother as JOE, for instance.

GLADDY LADDIE might also receive some language circuits, if JOE speaks a language that isn’t familiar to his walk-in.

So, in that wrecked-out body in rehab, GLADDY LADDIE might quickly graduate from detox, lose 20 pounds, become physically fit, start having better relationships, etc.

What are the advantages of being a walk-in? You skip that messy part about not talking yet, not walking yet, not quite knowing that you have feet. You may remember, that baby thing is delightful but awful in certain ways.

Any of you Blog-Buddies miss teething, for instance?

Maybe GLADDY LADDIE wants to live now because he is eager to participate in the huge shifts in consciousness that make it possible to evolve super-fast now.

Does GLADDY LADDIE have ineffable wisdom, really cool “insider knowledge” about the spiritual?

Not particularly. He just came in as a walk-in.

The Romance of the Astral

I first wrote about The Romance of the Astral in Use your Power of Command for Spiritual Cleansing and Protection. Much of New Age seeking glorifies angels, messages, guidance.

Sometimes channeled teachings are held high as part of the New Age experience. Certainly messages from walk-ins could become part of the woo-woo excitement.

Unfortunately, The Romance of the Astral doesn’t help people to evolve spiritually. A reading is not a healing. Having special knowledge, even if accurate, does not make a person spiritually superior.

Many of us New Agers (self included) have gone through a stage of being infatuated with The Romance of the Astral. We’re fortunate if we outgrow that, IMHO. Because New Age definitely does not have to involve The Romance of the Astral.

What about that optional add-on? Pursuing The Romance of the Astral through channeling, mediumship, and meditations on angels; seeking constant guidance and messages… that brings consequences alright. Consequences of The Romance of the Astral can include:

• Carrying loads of astral entities in one’s aura.
• Carrying loads of psychic coercion in one’s aura.
• Developing a spiritual addiction.
• Fearing psychic attack, energy vampires, psychic vampires, toxic personalities.
• Going broke.

Note that last part.

Ironically, there can be horrible financial consequences of pursuing The Romance of the Astral.

Researching this inspired my how-to book, Magnetize Money with Energetic Literacy. Partly it is an expose of The Secret and The Law of Attraction; using energetic literacy to do detailed aura reading of Esther Hicks, Rhonda Byrne, and other proponents of practices that lead to spiritual addiction.

Partly, “Magnetize Money with Energetic Literacy” is just a book to help a person become more successful, with loads of practical techniques that can really help bring success and prosperity.

You won’t find a word of advice from walk-ins.

Just to add a bit more perspective, here are personal stories about two very different walk-ins I encountered helping clients with sessions of Energy Spirituality.

A sweet walk-in, finding his way

MR. JOE came to me for some sessions to help him heal STUFF from his aura. I facilitated several phone sessions of Energy Spirituality with this walk-in. He had walked in while the body available was quite young.

Even though MR. JOE’s “mother” wasn’t exactly his mother, he still had a cord of attachment to her that was high on the Yuckiness Index.

Because when you take on somebody’s lifetime, everything conveys: Physical body, physical health problems, astral-level STUFF in the form of cords of attachment, negative thought forms, etc.

One detail that I found interesting is that MR. JOE could sing along to songs from the 1950’s on the radio. It surprised people when he did it, because he grew up in the 1970’s. And he soon learned not to display this very natural remembering from the previous lifetime before he walked in.

Was MR. JOE super-duper evolved? Not particularly.

He is a magnificent soul. You know, like all my clients.

When I worked with him, he wasn’t ready for the Enlightenment Life List. He just had a somewhat more complex history than most of my clients. Get the picture?

Another walk-in, met through a client

My client GLADYS had a mother who was very close to death. GLADYS loved her Mom and was a really, really loyal person.

So GLADYS became very interested when she learned that a healer, J. G., had the ability to bring back people from the verge of death. J. G. is immensely talented, and can change the weather around her; she has many powers that can come in handy.

GLADYS was trying to decide whether or not to give J. G. the go-ahead. Using common sense, I urged GLADYS to just let her mother go. (I am not a big fan of using powers.)

However, my beloved client GLADYS chose to go with the service that J. G. could provide.

The mother had a big improvement and came back from close-to-death. However, GLADYS became concerned that her mother had changed.

Doing aura reading research, I pulled out a number of comparison energetic holograms. Chakra databank after chakra databank was different. It became clear that GLADYS’ MOM was now a walk-in.

Thus began an interesting adventure that certainly “brought me more business.” Because this walk-in kept that body alive for 18 months, wreaking havoc wherever she went.

The walk-in was a very negative personality who carried a particular loathing for GLADYS, and did everything she could to make trouble. Many difficult consequences and situations ensued, and GLADYS treated them as an educational experience.

No wonder, when I hear people speak with reverence about walk-ins, I chuckle inwardly.

No need to cast your eyes upwards, seeking messages from aliens or walk-ins or astral beings.
