Meanwhile, yesterday’s article got you started with a win-win experience. Since yesterday you were given a new skill set. Giving you the equivalent of what a pencil sharpener does for a pencil. Only this skill to “Enter into Author’s Voices” is designed to sharpen up your understanding of any author’s voice.

How exciting!
Rose, I noticed that this Goodreads Giveaway is only eligible to those who are US citizens.
I have already purchased both kindle and paperback versions when it was first released on August 1st, 2024.
I hope many Blog-Buddies do enter to win the “Bigger than All the Night Sky”.
I have read it many times and gained new insight every time. Deeply moving, inspiring and thought provoking. I hope many have the chance to experience reading this magnificent memoir.
MARY, thanks. It didn’t sink in until I read your Comment #1 about how the giveaway is available only to U.S. citizens.
I immediately correct the main article to reflect that.
Oligarch Jeff Bezos, who runs Amazon.com, is decidedly NOT on my list of favorite people.
You, however, are on that list of mine, MARY.
As for this part of what you wrote that I’m putting in the next comment, this is the kind of thing to put on a review at Goodreads. And to include in a review at Amazon.com.
I hope all you readers become reviewers — this would be so helpful to potential readers, and also to this publisher.
From MARY, about Bigger than All the Night Sky, 2nd Edition:
Woohoo! Fun to do a giveaway. I didn’t know about these on Goodreads. I just entered a bunch, but I already have both editions of “Bigger Than All The Night Sky,” so I’ll let others enter to win your excellent book, Rose.
It really is fun to enter these Goodreads Giveaways, NOAH.
Every time you enter, it helps the author, too. As you can imagine, it is very easy for a Goodreads author to get lost in the crowd. Entering that author’s giveaways can help.
Authors who aren’t celebrities don’t have an easy time standing out on Goodreads. In 2024, 424,869 authors like me had personal accounts. Besides entering our Giveaways, what else can help? When an author, like me, is active on Goodreads:
* You can friend the author.
* You can read and LIKE the author’s reviews.
* You can read and LIKE the author’s comments.
* When an author’s blog appears on Goodreads — as mine does — you can LIKE that, too.
* You can COMMENT at these blogposts on Goodreads, too. [That is, not my personal blog where you’re reading right now but at the version of my blogposts that appear on Goodreads. Why not cut-and-paste and comment in both locations? Very helpful!]
* Most important, you can RATE and REVIEW every one of that author’s books you’ve read. To land in the right place on Goodreads, simply click on the link just provided.]
— Rating a book takes two minutes.
— Writing a book review on Goodreads can also be really, really easy.
For any Goodreads readers who don’t like writing, or don’t like writing in public — hey, may I suggest you take the online workshop for the Energy Spirituality course called “Creativity Secrets with Soul.”
Benefit from a lively, unique, no-pressure system that can help you to graduate from writer’s block.
Back to helping a Goodreads author like me, on Goodreads your reviiew can consist of one or two sentences. You never, ever have to write one of those annoying, stiff, book report assignments that you may have suffered through in high school.
Also, you don’t have to complete the entire book in order to review it.
If you like, start by writing a brief review, just a sentence or two. Publish that. Statically speaking, it will totally count. And on Goodreads, those statistics matter a lot.
Later you can come back to your earlier review, click on EDIT, and add more sentences or paragraphs.
A richer, fuller review is one of the very biggest favors you can do this indie author. And you can even double the help by cut-and-pasting your review that’s a couple of paragraphs long, then submit it to Amazon in your country.
Of course, you don’t have to have purchased the book from Amazon in order to review it.
You may be surprised to learn how very few legitimate book review opportunities there are now.
With each passing year, it seems there are fewer, and those sought-after reviews are — in my experience — often from reviewers who prefer to review books on familiar themes, recycling familiar cliches from the New Age Years or whenever. (And believe me, I know whereof I speak.)
Blog-Buddies, your book review of Bigger than All the Night Sky — or any of my other books — can be like a breath of fresh air.
I’ll be so grateful for your contribution.
I took your suggestion to heart in your Comment #7, Rose, and submitted my review on Goodreads and Amazon in my country.
I already had reviews there and I like adding new ones as I have different levels of experiences everytime I read your books.
How thrilling to be able to contribute in a meaningful way like this.
I so enjoy reading everyone’s reviews. Thank you for reminding the importance of submitting reviews, likes and comments.
Splendid service, MARY, including your posting these latest comments!
Some folks would like to do this powerful service for helping to spread the word about Energy Spirituality® but they don’t feel comfortable writing reviews. It’s not fun for them, or they remember some unkind teacher from years ago.
Well, you could say there are two kinds of people in the world:
* Those who give back to their society by doing things that make a positive difference.
* And those who find excuses to not make that little bit of effort.
Thank you, MARY, for demonstrating that you are the first kind of person.
I can’t spread Energy Spirituality all by myself. And the Divine Beings who cocreate this knowledge, not being human, can’t do it either. People like you are essential for the make-or-break difference.
