Dougall Fraser bills himself as a Certified Aura Reader. On his home page, he tells us quite a lot about his view of auras and what we, as readers of his Home Page, can learn from them. Plus, how he certifies his students. (Although Mr. Fraser never tells who certified him.)
Can you find samples of Dougall Fraser’s aura readings online? Hmm. No, actually.
How many results just now on my Google? ZERO HITS, although you’ll find some links to articles where he sells himself as an aura reading teacher.

Basically, this a standard New Age definition. It has been in use for thousands of years, standard during The Age of Faith.
An aura is energy? To me, this reveals that Dougall uses Stage 1 Energetic Literacy.
Thus, by today’s standards, his aura readings involve working as a psychic. (Even though his website sidesteps that point; omitting the question of sourcing is very common among psychics, a.k.a. “those who offer intuitive work.”)
Auras are colours with set meanings. This means, Dougall teaches what I call “Color by Number” aura reading. His approach fits squarely into what has been taught for thousands of years by THE Enlightenment Establishment.
By comparison, imo, today’s aura readers can do so much better. Thank goodness, I’m a member of TODAY’S Enlightenment Establishment! What happens when Energy Spirituality® students take our entry-level, online workshop, Aura Reading 101? By graduation, they have developed Stages 1, 2, and 3 of Energetic Literacy. In more advanced workshops, I teach them to progress even further in their energetic literacy skills.

What does personal perception of aura colors … actually MEAN? Although he’s living in the Age of Awakening, Dougall Fraser still relies on the time-hallowed version, the Age of Faith kind of aura reading. Yes, here’s more verification from Dougall that he offers the “The Color by Number” type of aura reading.
Count this next part as another difference between aura reading from a member of THE Enlightenment Establishment versus TODAY’S Enlightenment Establishment. Dougall makes a big deal of personal PERCEPTIONS of energy. I teach skills for having perceptions, too, only then my students learn how to HUMANLY INTERPRET those perceptions.

About Stage 1 Energetic Literacy, such as what Dougall uses–this developed before widespread word literacy. Before movies or television. Before mobile phones, computers, or the internet. Stage 1 Energetic Literacy was the best that people could do for thousands of years. Bringing:
Back in the day, Color by Number aura reading was the best that people could do. At least, during the Age of Faith, which ended in 2012. Hardly the best that folks can do now!
